Discarded Banners Reborn as Portable Cushions: NHIS and BEXCO Join Hands for ESG Collaboration
2,000 Seat Cushions Donated to National Sports Events in Busan
Achieving Both Carbon Neutrality and Resource Circulation
The National Health Insurance Service Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (headed by Cho Junhee) signed a business agreement on the 14th with BEXCO (CEO Son Sudeuk) to establish a resource circulation system for discarded banners.
This agreement involves collecting banners discarded at exhibitions and fairs, reprocessing them, and upcycling them into portable folding seat cushions.
Both parties will donate these cushions to the local community, aiming to promote carbon neutrality and expand ESG management practices.
The 2,000 seat cushions produced will be distributed to volunteers at the 106th National Sports Festival and the 45th National Para Games, both to be held in Busan this October. This initiative will not only improve on-site convenience but also achieve both waste reduction and enhanced recycling value.
