National Heritage Meets Digital Content: 'HERITAGE: The Future Fantasy'
Presentation of Joseon Uigwe in 3D Video and More
An exhibition where visitors can vividly experience our national heritage will be held.
The National Heritage Administration and the National Heritage Promotion Agency announced on the 4th that they will present "HERITAGE: The Future Fantasy" at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul from August 23 to September 17.
This exhibition brings together digital content themed around national heritage. It is designed to allow anyone to enjoy national heritage, which is usually not easily accessible, without spatial or temporal limitations.
The overall production is led by Kang Shinjae, director of the design group Void Planning, who served as the art director for last year's "KTX 20th Anniversary Railroad Culture Exhibition." The exhibition will feature an installation by artist Kim Junsu, who has reinterpreted Korean pagodas in a contemporary way, as well as "Uigwe: The Epic of Eternity," a large-scale 3D video representation of the Joseon Uigwe.
The exhibition will also showcase the work process of intangible heritage holders, eleven pieces of crafts, and artificial intelligence (AI) media art based on intangible heritage works.
