This event is co-organized by the Gwangju City Government, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch of the Bank of Korea, and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Asset Management Corporation. Fifteen public institutions will participate, including the Financial Supervisory Service, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Credit Counseling & Recovery Service, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, Korea Development Bank, Export-Import Bank of Korea, Korea Housing Finance Corporation, and Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office.
The event was arranged as a follow-up measure to the "MOU for Promoting the Development of Local Talent" signed between the Gwangju City Government and financial public institutions on April 15. Its purpose is to provide tailored information such as the recruitment requirements of each financial public institution, which are known to have high entry barriers, thereby encouraging local youth to take on new challenges and supporting them in practical career exploration.
On the day of the event, current employees from participating financial institutions will serve as mentors, offering one-on-one personalized consultations (approximately 15 minutes per institution). The event will also feature special employment lectures, information on youth employment policies, and consulting services for resumes and cover letters.
In particular, during the special lecture scheduled from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., Park Cheol-oh, co-CEO of Career High, will provide practical tips on "How to Prepare for Interviews at Financial Public Institutions," covering strategies for writing cover letters and interview techniques.
The city government plans to use this event as an opportunity to strengthen the employment capabilities of local talent, further advance youth-tailored job matching and post-employment support systems, and establish a sustainable employment support model.
