Ahn Byunggu and Kim Kimoon Discuss Cooperation for Investment Briefing
and Strategies to Revitalize the Local Economy
On July 24, the city of Miryang, Gyeongnam Province, announced that Mayor Ahn Byunggu visited the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to discuss strategies for attracting new businesses and supporting local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with Chairman Kim Ki-moon.
This meeting was organized to actively respond to changes in the local economic environment, such as population decline and economic slowdown, and to share strategies for revitalizing the local economy by attracting outstanding companies. The need to establish practical support measures to help SMEs recover their vitality amid challenging business conditions was also discussed.

View original imageIn particular, Mayor Ahn requested the cooperation and support of the Korea Federation of SMEs for the successful hosting of the 'Miryang City Investment Briefing' for companies in the Seoul metropolitan area, scheduled for November. Both parties agreed to cooperate in establishing networks and foundations that could lead to investment attraction.
They also exchanged a wide range of opinions on improving the business environment and expanding support for local SMEs struggling with economic recession and labor shortages, as well as strengthening cooperation between local governments and the SME sector.
Mayor Ahn Byunggu stated, "Attracting businesses is the key to revitalizing the local economy and addressing the issue of population decline," adding, "We will do our utmost to promote Miryang as a city where companies can thrive and to create an environment where businesses can invest with confidence."
