Expansion of Sentiment- and Fandom-Driven Consumption

As consumer trends focused on sentiment and fandom have intensified, transactions have increasingly concentrated on "collectible" hobby items with high rarity and resale value, rather than on traditional hobbies or leisure activities.
This trend was also clearly reflected in search rankings. Five out of the top 10 most popular search terms on Junggonara in the first half of the year were hobby-related items. Among these, kidult items ranked first (LEGO), fourth (Gundam), and sixth (figure). The cumulative number of searches for these three keywords in the first half of the year totaled 30 million.
Recently, as the craze for collecting limited-edition character and brand goods has spread among the MZ generation, interest in related keywords has also surged. In June, the number of searches for the globally popular character "Labubu" increased by a staggering 928 times compared to January.
