BNK Financial Group Donates 300 Million KRW for Flood Victims
Emergency Disaster Relief Volunteer Team Dispatched to Uiryeong, Gyeongnam
Support Expanded to Sancheong, Hapcheon, and Ulsan
BNK Financial Group announced that it has donated 300 million KRW and is carrying out various relief activities to assist residents who suffered severe flood damage in Gyeongnam Sancheong, Ulsan, and other parts of the Gyeongnam region due to extreme heavy rainfall that began on July 16.
BNK Financial Group operates an emergency disaster relief volunteer team to provide swift and efficient group-level support for disaster and accident recovery. On July 20, the group urgently dispatched volunteers to Uiryeong County in Gyeongnam to help with the recovery efforts, including organizing household goods in flooded homes and removing mud and debris brought by the downpour.
Starting with the recovery support in Uiryeong, BNK plans to expand its assistance to other areas affected by the heavy rains, such as Sancheong, Hapcheon, and Ulsan, by dispatching additional volunteer teams and delivering emergency daily necessities as soon as the extent of the damage is identified. From July 22, additional emergency disaster relief volunteer teams will be sent to Sancheong and Ulsan to provide practical recovery support.
Through Busan Bank and Kyongnam Bank, BNK will prioritize providing business stabilization funds to companies that submit a 'damage confirmation certificate' in accordance with its internally established "Disaster Recovery Financial Support System" manual. The group will also offer reduced interest rates on existing loans, preferential rates for new loans, and deferment of loan interest and installment payments. For individuals affected by the disaster, BNK will provide emergency living support funds and waive remittance and currency exchange fees.
