Arrested Due to Risk of Repeat Offense... Police Investigating the Circumstances
A man in his 60s has been arrested after breaking a car window with a brick and assaulting another driver following a dispute while driving.
The Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced on July 9 that they had arrested a man in his 60s, identified as A, on charges of property damage and assault. A is accused of breaking the rear window of a vehicle driven by a man in his 20s, identified as B, with a brick at around 4:30 p.m. on June 26 on a road in Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju.
A is also accused of slapping B during the incident. According to the police investigation, the two men had an argument while driving, and A, in a fit of rage, committed the offenses.
The police applied for an arrest warrant for A, citing concerns about the possibility of repeat offenses, and the court issued the warrant. The police plan to refer A to the prosecution after completing a thorough investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident.
