View original imageOn July 1, Gwangju University announced that it recently conducted cultural classes focused on exploring and experiencing local cultural heritage for the Korean language training program during the summer semester.
The program included one instructor and 25 language trainees, who visited Muyang Seowon, Mahan Heritage Experience Center, and Wolbong Seowon. Through guided tours and hands-on activities, participants deepened their understanding of traditional Korean culture.
At Wolbong Seowon, participants experienced traditional clothing and learned about the historical value of traditional educational institutions. In the subsequent "Carbon Neutrality Making" activity, they created companion plants, providing an opportunity to reflect on the importance of the environment.
A Gwangju University official stated, "We plan to continue enhancing international students' multicultural sensitivity and understanding of Korean culture through practical cultural experiences in collaboration with the local community."
