US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reportedly considering visiting South Korea and Japan in early July.
On June 27, Kyodo News, citing Japanese government officials, reported that Secretary Rubio is coordinating a visit to Japan in early July and is also considering a trip to South Korea.
According to the report, Secretary Rubio is scheduled to attend the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Malaysia on July 10. He is discussing plans to visit South Korea and Japan in succession before or after this event.
