Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Launches MICE Professional Training Academy from June 23 to 27
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization began operating the "2025 Gyeonggi MICE Academy" on June 23, aiming to nurture professionals in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) industry.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and jointly organized by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and the Korea MICE Association, this academy is an intensive training program designed to enhance participants' understanding of the MICE industry and strengthen their practical skills.
This year, a total of 31 participants were selected through a document screening process, including residents of Gyeonggi Province as well as current students and graduates from universities within the province. The main training components include: lectures on Gyeonggi-specialized MICE topics; online job training for the MICE sector; on-site visits linked to Gyeonggi Unique Venues; and mentoring and networking programs with industry professionals. Internship placement opportunities will also be provided.
The training will take place at the Suwon Convention Center until June 27, comprising a total of 25 hours?20 hours offline and 5 hours online.

View original imageIn particular, this academy focuses on connecting internships based on actual industry demand and matching with the career aspirations of job seekers.
Outstanding trainees will be offered internship opportunities for up to six weeks, and participating companies will receive up to 1.8 million KRW in support funds. However, participating companies must meet the requirements of enrolling interns in the four major social insurances and paying at least the minimum wage.
Currently, 18 companies?including Pyeongtaek K-Tree Hotel, Goyang KINTEX by K-Tree Hotel, Bucheon Content Labs, Yongin Korean Folk Village, and Siheung Wave Park, all members of the Gyeonggi Tourism MICE Alliance?have expressed their intention to participate in the internship program.
