"Putin to Attend BRICS Summit in Brazil Next Month"...Possibility of Virtual Participation
President Vladimir Putin of Russia is scheduled to attend the BRICS summit, which will be held in Brazil from July 6 to 7, according to a report by TASS news agency on June 21 (local time). However, the form of his participation has not yet been determined.
According to Russia's state-run TASS news agency, Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov made this announcement to the outlet. President Putin previously attended the BRICS summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa, in August 2023 via video conference.
President Putin has faced restrictions on overseas travel since March 2023, when the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for him.
