Starbucks Offers 30% Off Beverages with Food Purchase After 6 p.m.
Reflecting Changing Lifestyles with Longer Evenings
Currently, 80% of Starbucks Stores Nationwide Open Until 10 p.m.
Starbucks announced on June 17 that it will hold the 'Good Evening Event' from June 18 to July 20. The 'Good Evening Event' offers a 30% discount on beverages when customers order a beverage made in-store together with food after 6 p.m. each day.
Customers can receive the discount benefit automatically when ordering directly from a partner in-store, or when placing delivery orders through Siren Order or the Starbucks application. During the event period, customers can also collect summer e-Frequency stickers, and the beverage discount applies to all sizes: Short, Tall, Grande, Venti, and Trenta.
A Starbucks representative explained, "The Good Evening Event was planned to increase customer benefits in line with changing lifestyles, such as more customers visiting stores in the evening as sunset times become later, having a simple dinner at the cafe, or enjoying various leisure activities." The representative added, "Since May of this year, we have gradually extended store operating hours that were shortened due to COVID-19, and now 80% of all stores are open until 10 p.m."

Meanwhile, sales of cocktail beverages, available at only 12 stores nationwide, increased by 80% in May compared to the previous month. Recently, due to the 'healthy pleasure' trend, demand for decaffeinated coffee and caffeine-free beverages has also increased, as more customers wish to enjoy coffee in the afternoon without concern. During the approximately one-month Evening Event held in April, sales of decaffeinated coffee and caffeine-free beverages increased by 30% compared to the same period last year. Among these, orders for decaffeinated coffee increased by more than 80%.
