According to the Sejong City Office of Education on June 12, the "On-site Worker Health Consultation" program, which has been in operation since 2022, will be expanded this year to provide health consultations and occupational disease prevention education to a total of 280 employees at 51 schools.
The "On-site Worker Health Consultation" is a customized health support service in which an occupational health specialist visits schools to provide one-on-one consultations on workers' health checkup results and offers education on the prevention of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases.
This program has been well received by workers for providing practical assistance, as it allows for detailed consultations on health-related concerns that may not have been addressed at hospitals.
In particular, this year, "musculoskeletal disease prevention education" has been newly added to the existing consultation program. In April, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed with the Daejeon Worker Health Center, and since May, "sports taping practical training," which is easy for workers to follow, has also been offered.
Superintendent Choi Kyojin stated, "We are continuing to provide meticulous support to make schools healthy workplaces," adding, "We will continue to create an environment where workers can work in good health through cooperation with specialized institutions."
