Park Geun-hye to Visit Seomun Market in Daegu Tomorrow to Support Kim Moonsoo
Yoo Youngha: "Visit Scheduled Around 1 p.m. on the 31st"
Former President Park Geun-hye will visit Seomun Market in Daegu on May 31 to support Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate.
Yoo Youngha, a People Power Party lawmaker and close aide to former President Park, wrote on Facebook on May 30, "Tomorrow, I will accompany the President to Seomun Market," adding, "The President has accepted the promise made in Dongseongno."
Yoo stated, "The President is scheduled to arrive around 1 p.m.," and added, "I hope as many people as possible will have the chance to meet her."
On May 28, during a campaign rally for Kim held in Dongseongno, Daegu, Yoo had promised to visit together with former President Park.
On May 25, former President Park met with candidate Kim at her residence in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, and said, "Do not dwell on the past, but unite as one to win this election," adding, "I will consider more deeply how I can help ensure a successful campaign, even though there is not much time left."
On May 27, she visited the birthplace of her father, former President Park Chung-hee, in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, and the birthplace of her mother, Yuk Youngsoo, in Okcheon, North Chungcheong Province, in succession. Through these first public appearances during the presidential campaign period, she expressed her support for candidate Kim.

On May 29, the first day of early voting, she cast her ballot at a polling station near her residence and emphasized, "If you are unable to vote on the main election day, you should actively participate in early voting to help increase voter turnout," adding, "I sincerely hope everyone will make sure to vote."
