Kibo and Pukyong National University Join Hands for Regional Coexistence
Business Agreement Signed to Promote Local Community Development and Expand Social Contribution
Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) announced on May 27, 2025, that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Pukyong National University to cooperate on educational donations and social contribution activities for regional coexistence.
This agreement was established to systematically promote and develop joint social contribution projects in partnership with the local community by organically linking the capabilities and infrastructure possessed by both organizations. Through a variety of collaborative initiatives, the two institutions plan to spread a culture of sharing and regional coexistence, and to actively contribute to the sustainable development of the local community.

View original imageUnder the agreement, the two organizations will launch their first collaborative project by establishing and operating a "Local Study Room" program for local youth in partnership with the LG Metro Small Ssams Library in Nam-gu, Busan, and will provide scholarships to participating university students. In addition, they agreed to cooperate on educational donations by implementing various joint projects, including: forming and operating a joint volunteer group; hosting a science quiz competition for local children; running career experience programs for university students and local children; and establishing an environmental club and providing climate change education.
In particular, the joint volunteer group formed through this agreement plans to carry out community-based social contribution activities, such as volunteering at welfare centers, sharing Kimjang (kimchi-making) with underprivileged groups, and participating in rural volunteer work, thereby putting into practice the value of regional coexistence.
