Daegu Catholic University and Watson & Company signed a business agreement on May 21 at the Koinonia Hall on campus for "Research on Mental Health Issues Using Brain Neuromodulation Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI)."

View original imageThis agreement was established to build a mutually beneficial cooperative system between academia and industry through joint research utilizing biosignal data based on brain neuromodulation and measurement equipment, as well as convergence research in the field of mental health by incorporating AI analysis technology.
The main contents of the agreement include: provision and joint utilization of biosignal data, planning of national research projects; development of AI-based analysis algorithms and conducting academic research; clinical application of research outcomes and operation of emotional and cognitive support programs; promotion of programs linked to internships, national work-study scholarship projects, and employment support; corporate branding and production of joint promotional content; and dissemination of the agreement's achievements through media and external outlets.
President Sung Han-gi of Daegu Catholic University stated, "We expect that the university's research capabilities combined with the industry's technology will make a tangible contribution to the local community, as well as to the fields of healthcare and welfare overall."
