The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Chosun University College of Medicine held a symposium last year to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its alumni association. Since its founding in 1974, the department has continued to develop, achieving groundbreaking and significant accomplishments in the regional medical community.
The department has gained nationwide recognition for its outstanding achievements in the field and has treated many patients based on its extensive experience and knowledge in areas such as the shoulder and elbow, hand, spine, hip joint, knee joint, ankle joint, bone tumors, and pediatrics.
In addition, with the development of industry leading to an increase in trauma and industrial accident patients, the department quickly adopted the latest technologies and achieved remarkable results in fracture treatment. Subsequently, it has also played a pivotal role in domestic and international conferences in fields such as pediatric orthopedics and oncology.
Lee Junyoung, head of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Chosun University Hospital, said, "As we reflect on the achievements of the past 50 years, I hope that this development fund donation will serve as a valuable opportunity for further advancement at the association level."
