Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province will host two major cycling events, drawing nationwide attention from cycling enthusiasts: the "27th National Cycling Competition for the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation Cup in Commemoration of the Seoul Olympics" and the "2025 Masters Cycle Yeongju Tour," both taking place consecutively from May 12 to 17.
This year's competitions are organized and hosted by the Korea Cycling Federation, with joint sponsorship from Yeongju City and the Yeongju City Sports Council. The events will be held in the Sunheung-myeon and Pyeongeun-myeon areas.
The National Cycling Competition will run until May 16 at the Sunheung-myeon Keirin Training Center, featuring intense races among approximately 400 elite cyclists from across the country. On May 17, the Masters Cycle Yeongju Tour for amateur cycling enthusiasts will take place on the roads around Yeongju Dam in Pyeongeun-myeon, with about 500 participants expected. In total, around 900 people will visit Yeongju for both events combined.

The course remains the same as last year, starting from Yeongju Lake Auto Camping Site and passing through Geumgwang Samgeori, Dongho Bridge, and Gangdong Maru Park in a circular route.
Yeongju City has completed all necessary preparations to ensure the safety of both athletes and citizens, including roadside weed trimming, road surface cleaning, and the installation of guide signs prior to the competitions. On the day of the events, only vehicles traveling in the same direction as the cyclists will be allowed limited access, in order to minimize inconvenience for residents.
