He finished the round tied for 11th place. His performance stood out for its precision, as he collected five birdies without a single bogey. He is now poised not only for his first top-10 finish of the season but also to contend for the title. This tournament features 72 players, and all participants play four rounds with no cut.
Keith Mitchell (USA) surged to the top of the leaderboard with a 9-under-par 61. Mitchell, whose only PGA Tour victory came at the 2019 Honda Classic, recorded nine birdies, including stretches of four consecutive birdies and three consecutive birdies.
