Ministry of Land to Hold Seminar on Construction Site Fall Accident Prevention
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it will hold a seminar on the prevention of construction site fall accidents at the Construction Association Hall in Seoul on the afternoon of May 8, 2025. This event is part of the fall accident prevention measures jointly introduced by related agencies in February 2025. It will serve as an opportunity to review the progress made by each organization and discuss ways to ensure that these measures are effectively implemented at construction sites.
The Ministry will introduce innovative measures for construction safety, such as the promotion of smart construction and strategies to prevent fall accidents. The Korea Construction Association, Korea Land and Housing Corporation, and Korea Expressway Corporation will each present their own fall accident prevention strategies for construction sites. The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency and the Korean Construction Workers’ Union under the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions will propose ways to improve safety management at small and medium-sized construction sites.
