Seongdong-gu to Subsidize Up to 700,000 Won for Noise-Reducing Mat Installation in Multi-Unit Homes with Elementary School Children
Selection of Beneficiaries Based on Comprehensive Review of Number and Age of Children, Year of Construction, and Other Factors
Seongdong-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Won-oh) has launched a support program this year to subsidize the installation of noise-reducing mats in multi-unit housing for families with children in elementary school or younger.
This program targets households with children in elementary school or younger who reside in apartments, multiplex houses, or multi-family housing complexes with 20 or more units. However, only households with residential units below them are eligible. Residents living on the first floor or those living above piloti structures or commercial spaces are excluded from eligibility.
The selection of beneficiaries will be prioritized based on a comprehensive review of factors such as the number and age of children, the year the building was constructed, and the exclusive area of the residence. Selected households will receive a subsidy covering 70% of the installation cost, up to a maximum of 700,000 won.
Households wishing to apply can submit the required application documents in person or by mail to the Housing Policy Division of Seongdong-gu Office from May 1 to May 23. For further details, please refer to the Seongdong-gu Office website.
