The police are tracking down the author of an online post claiming that a bomb had been planted at Giheung Station in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
According to the police on April 23, at approximately 9:25 a.m. that day, a post titled "Mandatory reading for those living near Giheung Station in Yongin" was uploaded to an online community. The post stated, "I've hidden a bomb somewhere at Giheung Station," and continued, "I made it by modifying fireworks, and I've set it to explode at 6 p.m. on the 30th, which is a week from now."

The Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency received a report about the post from a netizen that morning and requested cooperation from the Yongin Dongbu Police Station. The police announced that, while tracking the author, they have also deployed personnel to search Giheung Station to check for any actual dangerous items that may have been installed. A police official stated, "We are continuing the investigation to identify the author and are working to determine the detailed circumstances of the incident."
