Investigation Planned on Causes and Damage Areas of Wildfires
On the 12th, dry weather warnings were issued for seven cities and counties in Gyeongbuk, and wildfires broke out in several locations.
According to the Korea Forest Service, at around 11:04 a.m. that day, a wildfire occurred on a hill in Hadae-ri, Buhang-myeon, Gimcheon-si, Gyeongbuk, and was extinguished in about an hour. Six helicopters, 75 personnel, and 21 pieces of equipment were deployed to fight the fire.

View original imageEarlier, at around 4:09 a.m., a wildfire broke out on a hill in Yonggang-dong, Gyeongju-si, and was extinguished after 1 hour and 13 minutes. Five firefighting vehicles and 35 personnel were mobilized to extinguish the fire.
