View original imageOn the 31st of last month, Jeonju University announced that it had signed a business agreement to promote regional tourism using international students at the Jeonju University Office of International Affairs.
The main purpose of this agreement is to introduce excellent tourism resources in the Jeonbuk region to international students visiting the area, and to promote the charm of Jeonbuk to the world by operating various experiential programs.
The Jeonbuk Tourism Marketing Support Center plans to create tourism content together with Jeonju University international students and actively promote it to domestic and international tourists through SNS and various other channels.
Through this, the Jeonbuk region aims to enhance its brand value as a global tourist destination and maximize the effect of attracting overseas tourists.
Kim Okyeong, Acting Director of the Center, said, "International students are expected to play an important role in directly experiencing the region's outstanding tourism resources and promoting them through global networks. Through this agreement, we expect tourism in the Jeonbuk region to be revitalized, the influx of foreign tourists to increase, and a positive impact on the local economy."
Shim Youngguk, Director of the Jeonju University Office of International Affairs, emphasized, "International students will not only focus on academics but also serve as ambassadors to promote the region, creating a model for mutual growth between the region and the university. Through this agreement, we will actively support international students so that they can settle well in the local community and grow into global talents."
Meanwhile, Jeonju University is continuously pursuing various cooperative projects with the local community based on its efforts to discover outstanding global talents and its internationalization capabilities.
