Sharing Status of Nuclear Power Plant Operations and Construction, and Social Contribution Achievements

View original imageAt the committee meeting, they shared the results of the planned preventive maintenance of Saewool Unit 1, which is currently operating normally, the operational performance of Saewool Unit 1, and the progress and commissioning status of Saewool Units 3 and 4.
They also shared records and plans for social contribution activities, and introduced efforts for community safety, such as emergency supply support related to the recent wildfire in Ulju-gun, and the early firefighting activities of Saewool Headquarters' own fire brigade in response to a small-scale fire in Yeonsan Village, Seosaeng-myeon.
The Saewool Headquarters Nuclear Communication Committee is composed of 16 members, including Saewool Headquarters officials, Ulju County Council members, heads of local organizations, local residents, journalists, and civic groups. The committee has established a constant communication system and holds meetings on a quarterly basis to transparently disclose information on nuclear power plant operations and construction.
So Youseop, Head of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters always keeps communication channels open to coexist and develop with the local community," and added, "Through the Nuclear Communication Committee, we will communicate with the region, listen to residents' opinions, and actively seek and implement various measures to realize mutual growth with the community."
