with 400 Million Won in Provincial and Municipal Funds
On the 25th, Ansan City in Gyeonggi-do announced that it has secured 200 million won in provincial funds after being selected for the 'Gyeonggi-do Alley Commercial District Revitalization Contest Project.'
Hosted by the Gyeonggi-do Market and Commercial District Promotion Agency, this project aims to revive the depressed local commercial districts and attract young people through specialized content tailored to regional characteristics.
In particular, for this contest, the city reflected the voices from the commercial district field based on collaboration with the Jungang 3rd Merchants Association in the Jungang-dong area. With this selection, the city plans to promote ▲ alley commercial district branding ▲ public design improvements ▲ introduction of youth cultural content ▲ establishment of a cooperative foundation between local residents and merchants, centered around the Jungang-dong commercial district. To this end, in addition to the provincial funds, the city has secured an additional 200 million won in municipal funds and is set to launch the full-scale project.
