Hybe Park Ji-won Earned 2.33 Billion KRW Last Year... Bang Si-hyuk Received 1 Billion KRW
Former HYBE CEO Park Ji-won received a total compensation of 2.33 billion KRW last year. This amount represents a 53.3% increase compared to the previous year, 2023, when he received 1.52 billion KRW.
According to the business report disclosed by HYBE on the 21st, CEO Park received 998 million KRW in salary, 1.33 billion KRW in bonuses, and 2 million KRW in other labor income last year. The other income consists of welfare benefits and similar items.
Salaries and incentives are determined by the Compensation Committee under the HYBE Board of Directors. Salaries are decided based on the executive compensation regulations, comprehensively considering roles and contributions, expertise, and leadership in areas such as business and organizational management, innovation management, and collaboration management. Incentives are judged based on performance indicators including strong business results and new business strategies. Additionally, 1,942 restricted stock units (RSUs) with transfer restrictions were granted.
Chairman Bang Si-hyuk received a compensation of 988 million KRW last year. Considering factors such as the debut of new groups and global market expansion, an incentive of 980 million KRW was paid, with a base salary of 0 KRW. Chairman Bang does not receive a salary as part of strengthening responsible management. Other income amounted to 8 million KRW.
During the same period, the average salary per HYBE employee was 106 million KRW, a slight increase compared to 100 million KRW in 2023. By gender, the average amount received by male and female employees was 139 million KRW and 91 million KRW, respectively.
