First, SBC carried out a performance-oriented organizational restructuring to enhance the professionalism and efficiency of institutional operations. To efficiently manage field organizations and strengthen policy execution capabilities, a new ‘Regional Responsibility Management’ system was established, where executives are strategically assigned to manage specific regions.

Additionally, reflecting regional policy demands, the Northern Seoul Branch was reorganized into the ‘Seoul Regional Headquarters,’ and the Southeastern Seoul Branch was split into the Seoul Eastern Branch and Seoul Southern Branch to expand field departments. Furthermore, the ‘Corporate Finance Evaluation Office’ was newly established to strengthen the selection capability of innovative companies, and the existing operational organization was integrated to form the ‘Comprehensive Logistics Support Team for Small and Medium Enterprises’ to resolve logistics difficulties faced by SMEs.

SBC plans to promote rapid and effective budget execution to stimulate SME growth and restore the livelihood economy. It aims to execute 73.9% of the policy fund budget and 100% of the SME Mother Fund contributions early within the first half of the year. Moreover, through balanced budget allocation for policy funds, export support, and labor shortage resolution, SBC will support sustainable growth of small and medium ventures and respond to global trade risks.

In particular, SBC will actively implement various projects such as the ‘Jump-Up Program’ that comprehensively supports scale-up to mid-sized companies, the establishment of the SME-exclusive air logistics center ‘Smart Trade Hub,’ support projects for utilizing foreign professionals, preferential savings deductions for SME employees, and the opening of the ‘Win-Win Hope Center’ to support the social reintegration of prisoners and alleviate SME labor shortages.

Furthermore, SBC focuses on seamless field communication for customers. Through the ‘Visiting SBC’ communication program that connects SMEs’ field sites with policies, it proactively identifies companies’ field difficulties and provides practical assistance such as promotion of necessary policies and support projects, customized counseling, and consulting. This year, including Chairman Kang Seok-jin and all executives and staff, SBC has conducted about 20 ‘Visiting SBC’ sessions in the first quarter alone, engaging in nationwide field communication.

Director Lee Chang-seop stated, “SBC continues to pursue management innovation to support the growth and development of small and medium ventures,” adding, “We will actively back the strengthening of competitiveness of small and medium ventures through field-centered customized support and rapid policy execution going forward.”
