"‘Hell Will Rain Down Like Rain’ Trump Orders Military Action... Pro-Iran Yemen Rebel Houthi Airstrike"
"Decisive and Strong Attack Order to U.S. Military"
Warning to Iran: "Do Not Support the Houthis"
On the 15th (local time), following an order from U.S. President Donald Trump, the U.S. military launched a large-scale attack against Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi rebels.
That afternoon (U.S. Eastern Time), President Trump stated on his social media platform Truth Social, "Today, I have ordered the U.S. military to take decisive and strong military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen."
He said, "We will use overwhelming and lethal force until our objectives are achieved," then warned, "To all Houthi terrorists: your time is up. Your attacks must end today."
He added, "If they do not stop (attacks on U.S. commercial vessels and others), hell will rain down on them like never before."
Additionally, President Trump warned Iran to "immediately end support for the Houthi terrorists," stating that if Iran continues to threaten Americans and the U.S. president, it will be held fully accountable.
Earlier, on the 4th, the U.S. State Department designated the Houthi rebels as a "foreign terrorist organization," citing hundreds of attacks by the Houthis on commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as well as on U.S. military personnel protecting freedom of navigation and regional partners.
