Kim Sang-hoe, Former Blue House Administrator, Appointed as New President of Gyeonggi Arts Center
Kim Sang-hoe, former administrative officer of the Presidential Secretariat’s Office for Local Autonomy Development at the Blue House, has been appointed as the new president of Gyeonggi Arts Center.
Gyeonggi Arts Center announced that Kim Sang-hoe officially began his term after receiving his appointment certificate from Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province. The term is two years.
President Kim previously served as a member of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, administrative officer at the Presidential Secretariat’s Office for Local Autonomy Development, executive chairman and general director of the Gyeonggi International Puppet Festival, organizing committee member of the Bucheon International Animation Festival, secretary general and head of the Suwon branch of the Gyeonggi branch of the Korean Federation of National Artists. He earned a master's degree in public administration from Korea University Graduate School of Policy Studies with a thesis titled "A Study on Local Government Cultural Governance: Focusing on the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival."

At the inauguration ceremony, President Kim emphasized, "I will communicate with a humble heart (Hasim, 河心) and the attitude of putting myself in others’ shoes (Yeokjisaji, 易地思之)." He added, "Gyeonggi Arts Center will continue to develop as a hub of arts and culture, providing better environments for residents and creators."
Gyeonggi Arts Center stated that President Kim plans to establish the 'G-Art Brand' to position the center as a leading public institution for performing arts in Gyeonggi Province. To this end, he will collaborate with performing arts institutions and groups across the 31 cities and counties of Gyeonggi Province, as well as the Gyeonggi Arts Center’s own artistic groups. The center also plans to expand its network with overseas cultural and artistic organizations to support the international activities of Gyeonggi performing artists. Furthermore, it will hold the 'G-Art Awards' and 'G-Art Fair' to discover outstanding performing arts content and build performing arts governance to increase opportunities to engage with domestic and international audiences.

Additionally, the center announced plans to create a cultural and artistic ecosystem that coexists with local communities and to promote internal organizational innovation to improve organizational culture.
