The session was organized by the Yeongyang County branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, North Gyeongsang Chapter.
During the training, restaurant operators received education on food hygiene laws and policy directions, including safe management of ingredients, compliance requirements for business owners, and the revised laws for 2025. The session on basic principles of dietary therapy for hypertension covered healthy cooking such as low-sodium diets and nutrition labeling. In the section on food poisoning prevention and hygiene management, they learned about methods to prevent food poisoning and how to safely manage cooking utensils.
In addition, various promotional booths were set up to raise awareness about food poisoning causes and prevention, reducing food waste, the practice of serving smaller portions, and other initiatives to improve food culture.
County Governor Oh Dochang emphasized, "This is an important occasion to raise the level of food hygiene in our region and to create a safer food environment. Please listen attentively, and although the foodservice industry is currently facing difficulties, I ask you to actively work on developing local specialty foods and improving taste."
