A glass window of a restaurant operated by a famous chef fell over, causing a woman in her 40s walking by to sustain injuries requiring four weeks of medical treatment.
According to TV Chosun on the 5th, a glass window suddenly collapsed and struck a passerby at a restaurant located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, operated by the well-known chef A, who gained fame through broadcasting. The released closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage shows a woman walking with an umbrella suddenly being knocked down by the falling glass window.
It was reported that the glass window was not properly secured at the time. The victim suffered bruises on her legs and face and was diagnosed with injuries requiring four weeks of treatment. Afterwards, the victim’s side demanded 3.8 million won for medical expenses and other costs, but A requested evidence for the compensation amount and did not reach a settlement, leading to a lawsuit.
