Shinhan Financial Group Announces Recruitment for Startup Incubation Program 'Futures Lab'
New Global Sector Established
Supporting Companies Seeking Overseas Expansion
Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 4th that it is recruiting the 11th batch of its startup incubation program, 'Shinhan Future's Lab,' until the 24th.
Launched in 2015, Shinhan Future's Lab has discovered and nurtured 473 startups over the past 10 years until last year.
This time, the program will select participants separately for a collaboration track, which promotes open innovation through cooperation and linked commercialization with Shinhan Financial Group affiliates, and an incubation track for scaling up startups.
The incubation track is divided into ▲the innovative technology sector pioneering the market with innovative technologies ▲the 'ESG sector' contributing to solving social issues such as demographic changes ▲and the 'global sector,' consisting of fintech companies aiming to expand into Japan and Vietnam.
The global sector was newly established this year and is conducted together with the Korea Fintech Support Center under the name of the 'K-Fintech Overseas Expansion' program. It targets startups wishing to enter the Japanese and Vietnamese markets and plans to provide market consulting and mentoring for global expansion, collaboration with Shinhan Financial's overseas subsidiaries, and networking opportunities with investors.
