Daejeon City announced that it will fully open the temporary bridge, built to replace the Yudeunggyo Bridge which was closed to traffic after its pier subsided during heavy rainfall last July, to six lanes in both directions (towards Doma-dong and Yucheon-dong) starting on the 28th.

The Yudeunggyo temporary bridge was completed after about three months of construction, which began in November last year with a project budget of 7.8 billion KRW.

With the full opening of the temporary bridge, some traffic flows will also change. Left turns at the Taepyeonggyo Beodne intersection and the Domagyo Doma intersection, which had been temporarily allowed due to the partial opening of the temporary bridge towards Doma-dong, will now be prohibited.

In addition, 20 city bus routes (including Express No. 1) that had been detouring via Taepyeonggyo and Domagyo will resume normal operation via the Yudeunggyo temporary bridge. However, since left turns from the Seonam Bus Terminal starting point towards Doma-dong are not allowed, 12 routes including Nos. 113, 916, 21~27, 41~42, and 46 will continue to use the Taepyeonggyo detour route.

Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "With the full opening of the Yudeunggyo temporary bridge, the traffic that had been concentrated on Domagyo and Taepyeonggyo will be dispersed, alleviating severe congestion during rush hour," adding, "We will do our utmost to thoroughly manage the temporary bridge to minimize inconvenience until the reconstruction of Yudeunggyo is completed."
