The Russia-Ukraine war has reached its third year since its outbreak. He continued, "North Korea is violating numerous United Nations Security Council resolutions and continuing its nuclear and missile development, going against the international community's efforts to achieve peace," urging, "North Korea must abandon all weapons of mass destruction and missile programs in a 'complete, verifiable, and irreversible manner' and return to denuclearization talks."
Deputy Minister Kang also called on the five nuclear-weapon states (the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China, and Russia) to engage in bilateral and multilateral consultations to enhance transparency and mutual trust. He emphasized the need to establish international norms and strengthen international cooperation regarding new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).
