Jang Donghyeok: "I Hope the Constitutional Court Does Not Put an End to the Rule of Law"

"Harder to Believe Than a Wooden Block Turning Into a Person Overnight: The Hong Jangwon Memo"
On the 22nd in Daejeon, during a large-scale rally opposing the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol, Jang Donghyuk, a member of the People Power Party, strongly criticized the memo of former National Intelligence Service Deputy Director Hong Jangwon and the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO).
At the rally held that afternoon at the south gate square of Daejeon City Hall, organized by the Christian group Save Korea, Jang stated, "The memo by Hong Jangwon, which marked the beginning of impeachment and charges of rebellion, has been revealed to the world," and criticized, "The fact that this memo, like a talisman, has turned into a list of politicians to be arrested is even harder to believe than waking up to find a wooden block turned into a person."
He continued, "The CIO's 'warrant shopping' has also come to light. If the CIO had not gone to the Western District Court, the President would not have faced arrest or detention," adding, "I hope the Constitutional Court does not put a period on anti-rule-of-law practices."
He further appealed, "Now is the time for us to act to create a new free Republic of Korea and restore the collapsed order," and added, "If you shout opposition to impeachment with your words but secretly hope for an early presidential election in your heart, you are not seeking to oppose impeachment but rather to support it."
