Drugged Driving in the Heart of Gangnam... 30-Year-Old Man Arrested for Crashing into Taxi and Fleeing
A man in his 30s who allegedly crashed into two taxis and fled while under the influence of drugs in the heart of Gangnam, Seoul, was apprehended by the police.
On the 20th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that Mr. A has been booked and is under investigation for drugged driving and failure to take action after an accident under the Road Traffic Act.
Mr. A is accused of driving under the influence of drugs and crashing into two taxis on a road in Gangnam-gu around 2:50 a.m. on the 17th. It is reported that there were no passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The police applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, but the Seoul Central District Court dismissed it, stating that "he has confessed to the crime and there is no risk of evidence tampering."
