Yangsan-si to Implement Free Wi-Fi Service on Village Buses Starting March 1
Free Wi-Fi Now Available on All Village Buses in the Region
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam announced that from March 1, anyone can use free Wi-Fi services on all village buses within the region.
To improve internet accessibility for citizens using public transportation and reduce household communication expenses, the city newly installed public Wi-Fi service equipment on 48 village buses operating within the area.
With this public Wi-Fi service on village buses, passengers can now use free public Wi-Fi on village buses just like on the currently operating city buses (220 buses). To use the village bus public Wi-Fi, passengers can select either the general type ‘Public Wifi Free’ or the secure connection type ‘Public Wifi Secure’ in their smartphone Wi-Fi settings after boarding the bus.
In particular, all buses in the area use the same SSID, so users who have previously connected on city buses will be automatically connected on village buses as well, allowing for convenient use.
