Air Busan Surpasses 1 Trillion Won in Sales for the First Time Since Its Establishment Last Year
Air Busan surpassed annual sales of 1 trillion won for the first time since its establishment last year.
Air Busan announced on the 7th that it recorded sales of 1.0068 trillion won, operating profit of 146.3 billion won, and net profit of 2.4 billion won last year.
Sales increased by 13.1% compared to the previous year (890.4 billion won). Air Busan stated that the solid demand on Japan routes, resumption and increase of regular routes to China and Greater China, and diversification of route portfolio including new routes to Bohol in the Philippines and Bali in Indonesia were key factors.
However, operating profit decreased by 8.4% from the previous year (159.8 billion won) due to the impact of high exchange rates, high oil prices, and increased operating costs caused by business expansion.
