Yangsan-si, 2025 Yangsan Matjip Registration Begins
Applications accepted until February 28
On-site evaluation by category and committee review
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam is recruiting participating businesses for the designation of Yangsan Matjip (Yangsan’s Best Restaurants) for 2025 until February 28.
The application target is general restaurants that have been in operation for more than one year after business registration (business succession). Business owners wishing to participate should refer to the announcement on the Yangsan City website and submit an application form to the Yangsan City Sanitation Division by February 28.
In the future, after on-site evaluations in three areas?sanitation and facilities, menu and taste, and customer response?the combined score of businesses scoring 85 points or higher will be reviewed by the ‘Yangsan Matjip Discovery and Development Committee’ before final designation.
Businesses designated as ‘Yangsan Matjip’ will receive a designation plaque and certificate, and enjoy various promotional and support benefits such as additional points for sanitation-related support projects, exhibition of representative menu table settings at the Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival (Food Festival), promotion on the city website’s Matjip section, and production of Matjip leaflets.
The Yangsan Matjip designation project aims to discover and nurture representative restaurants of Yangsan to commercialize tourism and revitalize the local economy. Currently, 19 businesses have been designated as Yangsan Matjip.
