Gwangju Gwangsan-gu to Provide Brokerage Fee Support of 300,000 Won for Housing Vulnerable Groups
Basic Livelihood Security Recipients, Lower-Income Households, Single-Parent Families, and Newlyweds
Gwangju Gwangsan-gu announced on the 1st that it will implement a housing brokerage fee support program to promote housing stability for vulnerable groups. The beneficiaries are recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program, lower-income households, single-parent families, and newlyweds with an income at or below 100% of the median income residing in Gwangju.
The district will provide support for brokerage fees up to 300,000 KRW for the purchase or lease (jeonse or monthly rent) of homes priced at 300 million KRW or less, for transactions made after January 1, 2022.
Applicants must submit a brokerage fee application form, brokerage fee receipt, a copy of the transaction contract, a copy of their bankbook, a resident registration certificate, a certificate of recipient status (for eligible recipients), a marriage certificate (for newlyweds), and a certificate of health insurance premium payment (for newlyweds).
A district official stated, "We hope this will provide some help to vulnerable groups struggling with relocation costs," and added, "As support may become unavailable if the budget is exhausted early, eligible individuals are encouraged to apply without delay."
