Kim Jae-seop, Deputy Head of Organization of the People Power Party, criticized the party leadership. View original imageOn the 24th, Deputy Head Kim appeared on CBS Radio's 'Park Jae-hong's One-on-One Match' and said, "There were people who made statements defending or protecting the riot at the Western District Court. I thought such people should be disciplined at the party level." He added, "Although it was a very small number of lawmakers, it could be perceived as 'People Power Party is letting it slide,' so they should have been disciplined very strictly." He emphasized, "The People Power Party must clearly draw a line against the far-right and provide trust to the public through decisive measures." Regarding Kwon Young-se's sending of Seol gifts to hardline conservative YouTubers, he said, "In the current situation, a much more cautious approach was needed." However, he also said, "The expulsion demanded by the Democratic Party is going too far."
Regarding President Yoon's claims of election fraud, he criticized, "Accepting and respecting election results is called liberal democracy," and said, "It is completely contradictory to hold the value of liberal democracy highest and say, 'I cannot accept this election.'" He noted that since the Supreme Court has issued consistent rulings and the National Election Commission has taken a consistent stance, it can be firmly stated that there was no election fraud. This is interpreted as criticism of President Yoon, who appeared at the third hearing of the Constitutional Court on the 21st and said in his opening remarks, "Since I grew up, especially during my public service, I have firmly held the belief in liberal democracy," while still asserting election fraud.
Deputy Head Kim stressed, "The party should not show a lukewarm attitude regarding election fraud." He pointed out, "The People Power Party's official stance has long been that 'there is no election fraud.' However, it is regrettable that some within the party keep suggesting there might be election fraud or poor elections, creating an impression of moving toward election fraud." He added, "In the end, how can the centrist voters support a party that cannot accept election results?"

Regarding the remark about 'agents, not lawmakers' made during the fourth hearing of President Yoon's impeachment trial on the 23rd, he said, "I am confused whether this strategy is really being used seriously or if they truly believe it will be persuasive. Does that even make sense?" He sharply criticized, "This is like 'Biden-Nalimen' Part 2. It's an absurd claim."
