Gyeonggi Office of Education to Provide 1 Million Won Welfare Allowance to Education Officials... 25% Increase from Previous Year
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will provide 1 million KRW this year as a ‘customized welfare allowance’ for its affiliated educational public employees, a 25% increase compared to last year. This amount is the highest among all provincial offices of education nationwide.
The customized welfare allowance is a welfare benefit designed in advance within the allocated budget and provided to affiliated educational public employees. They can select and utilize suitable welfare items according to their preferences and needs.
The increase applies to educational public employees who are employed at public kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools under the Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education, as well as at the headquarters, education support offices, and affiliated institutions, who work 15 hours or more per week and have been continuously employed for more than one month, and who receive various allowances.
This year, the Provincial Office of Education decided to support a total of 1.2 million KRW, including the basic welfare points increased by 25% from the previous year to 1 million KRW and 200,000 KRW for health checkup expenses.
In particular, from this year, the age restriction for health checkup expenses has been abolished, expanding the number of beneficiaries eligible for health checkup support.
