Aerial Patrol of Passenger Ship Routes During the Holiday Season
Lee Myungjun, Commissioner of the West Sea Regional Coast Guard, conducted an inspection of the frontline security sites on the 22nd to prevent maritime accidents and check emergency response readiness during the Lunar New Year holiday.

View original imageAccording to the West Sea Coast Guard on the 23rd, Commissioner Lee used a helicopter (S-92) to conduct aerial patrols along the passenger ship routes frequently used by the public during the holiday, inspecting for potential safety hazards.
He then visited the Wido Police Station of the Buan Coast Guard to check the constant emergency response readiness for preventing and responding to maritime accidents, and together with staff, inspected the safety management of vessels moored at Pajanggeum Port.
Commissioner Lee stated, "We will do our utmost to prevent maritime accidents by strengthening sea patrols of frontline security vessels during the holiday period, so that the public can enjoy a safe and happy Lunar New Year through proactive maritime safety management."
