Suncheon City to Offer 2 Million Won Marriage Congratulations Grant to Young Couples
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 23rd that it will implement the "2025 Youth Couple Marriage Congratulatory Fund Support Project" to reduce the initial economic burden of marriage for the younger generation and to help them settle stably in the region, providing 2 million KRW per couple.
Eligibility requirements state that both spouses must be under the age of 49 as of the date of marriage registration, and both must have continuously resided with their registered address in Jeollanam-do for at least six months up to the day before applying for the congratulatory fund after marriage registration.
Applications can be submitted starting six months after the date of marriage registration, and must be made within one year and six months by visiting the administrative welfare center of the relevant eup, myeon, or dong according to the resident registration address. After reviewing the eligibility conditions, a lump sum of 2 million KRW will be paid in the month following the application date.
