Yangsan-si Warms Local Economy with 'Good Prepayment' Initiative
Promoting the Revitalization of Local Commercial Districts
Yangsan City's 'Good Prepayment' Initiative
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam is implementing a 'Good Prepayment' initiative to promote consumption and revitalize the local commercial district.
'Good Prepayment' refers to a kind form of consumption where customers pay in advance at stores and promise to revisit, thereby accelerating income growth for small business owners and self-employed individuals and helping stabilize their management.
Starting this month, Yangsan City will encourage each department to prepay at least 20% of their business promotion expenses at local restaurants by the 20th of next month. The city plans to request participation in the Good Prepayment campaign from the Yangsan City Council, investment and foundation institutions, and local companies, and will also conduct a participation campaign.
In addition, to stimulate consumption, the city plans to further expand the benefits of the local currency (Yangsan Sarang Gift Certificate), which is already among the highest levels in Gyeongnam Province, and is making various efforts such as operating an external restaurant usage day every Wednesday.
