Bucheon to Assign Road Names and Addresses Ex Officio for New Buildings... "Increased Convenience for Owners"
On January 23, the city of Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, announced that starting next month, it will streamline administrative procedures by automatically assigning road names and addresses ex officio when building commencement notifications are filed.
This initiative will be implemented by linking the Building Administration System (Saeumteo) with the Address Information Management System (KAIS). When a building owner submits a commencement notification, the Building Administration System will receive the relevant information and transmit it to the Address Information Management System, which will then automatically assign a road name and address. As a result, building owners will no longer need to apply for an address separately, saving them time.
Previously, building owners had to apply for building permits and commencement notifications with the building administration department, and then separately apply for a road name and address with the relevant department before receiving final approval for use (completion). If this step was omitted, the approval for use could be delayed by up to 14 days, causing inconvenience.
