Kim Daejung, Superintendent of Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, visited Jangseong Seongsan Elementary School and Jangseong Library on the 22nd to inspect the 'glocal competency' education sites and encourage the staff.
On this day, Superintendent Kim visited Jangseong Seongsan Elementary School to observe student-centered education and curricula designed to prepare for the future society. Jangseong Seongsan Elementary School completed its Green Smart School construction last year, establishing AI and edutech-based learning spaces to provide an optimal educational environment.

View original imageIn particular, Jangseong Seongsan Elementary School is focusing on strengthening students' global competencies through the 'Myungkyunmanri Project' and international exchange activities. During the winter vacation, the school operates a 'Winter Language Camp' to enhance elementary students' English and Chinese communication skills, and plans to continue cultural exchanges with Jinghua Elementary School in China to help students grow into glocal talents who can communicate with the world.
At the next stop, Jangseong Library, he checked the progress of major projects related to reading and lifelong learning. Jangseong Library is actively communicating with its users and contributing to the spread of a reading culture in the local community through various programs such as 'Knowledge Information Services for Opening the Future' and 'Reading Community'.
In particular, the 'Jangseong Historical Figures Picture Book Project' received great response by encouraging active participation from residents. Going forward, Jangseong Library plans to reorganize its spaces to better suit users' needs and develop into a complex cultural space where people can enjoy culture and the arts.
