The Democratic Party of Korea recently announced that it will request a police investigation as terror threats against the party leadership have been occurring consecutively.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, the Democratic Party's False Information Monitoring Team issued a press release stating, "Some of the threats received through the Democratic Police Substation go beyond simple intimidation and include specific execution plans such as the use of weapons and recruitment of accomplices," adding, "We will request a police investigation into the reports to prevent crimes."

View original imageThat morning, Kim Byung-joo, a Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party, said at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly, "Extremists supporting the insurrection forces do not hesitate to threaten terrorism against Democratic Party lawmakers, including Representative Lee Jae-myung," and “domestic security is being shaken due to insurrection forces including Yoon Seok-youl.”
He said, "According to reports, the phrase 'Let's kill' is too mild compared to expressions such as 'Let's use weapons to make air holes in the head' and 'I will kill with a weapon,' which are so cruel and heinous that they cannot be spoken aloud, and such posts are continuously appearing on internet communities, sending chills down the spine."
The targets of the threats revealed by Supreme Council Member Kim included Representative Lee Jae-myung, Floor Leader Park Chan-dae, Supreme Council Member Kim, and Representative Park Seon-won.
Supreme Council Member Kim showed the stab-resistant sleeves he wears under his suit, saying, "I always wear stab-resistant sleeves to block knives, and I keep stab-resistant clothing in my car, wearing it when going to dangerous areas or outdoors," and urged the police to strengthen security at the Democratic Party headquarters, the National Assembly, and the Constitutional Court.
