Yeongju City, "We Resolve Cadastral Complaints On-Site"
On-site Processing of Cadastral Complaints
for Eup and Myeon Rural Villages
Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) will implement the ‘On-site Processing System for Cadastral Complaints’ starting from the 21st to provide convenience to residents of remote rural villages with poor transportation.
The ‘On-site Processing System for Cadastral Complaints’ is a system that offers consultations on all cadastral-related tasks such as land division, merger, land category changes, cadastral surveying, road name address guidance, and ancestral land searches, and directly receives and processes complaints on-site.
The city plans to form a joint task force consisting of cadastral officials and employees from the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, and will tour the eup and myeon areas a total of 10 times from October, starting with Sincheon 2-ri in Isan-myeon on the 21st, to consult, receive, and process cadastral complaints.
This system has been a non-budget project implemented since 1994, providing on-site complaint processing services for rural residents with mobility difficulties, and has received high acclaim every year. Last year, a total of 44 cases (90 parcels) of cadastral complaints were received and processed in 8 villages.
Jo Jong-geun, Director of the Land Information Division, said, “The On-site Processing System for Cadastral Complaints is a system designed to help citizens efficiently manage their property,” adding, “We will actively promote it so that more residents can benefit and continuously operate it to enhance citizen satisfaction.”
